European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF ) is a body that strives to improve the quality of life for allergy sufferers and actively promotes allergy research.
Over 30% of Europe’s population are personally affected by allergies. The Foundation, which is based at Berlin’s Charité University Hospital, has developed an internationally-recognized seal of approval which it bestows on products and services that pay due and full regard to allergy sufferers’ needs. Our company has now become the first airline in the world to earn the ECARF seal of approval. We have done so by actively addressing the needs of allergy sufferers among our customers: modifying our cabin interiors and equipment, expanding the range of food and drink we serve in our lounges and to travellers aloft, and developing an extensive information programme for our personnel.
