August has arrived, marking the middle of summer. For the next four weeks, I will take you along to selected destinations within the SWISS network from Geneva Airport. You might be wondering what it’s like to be a Geneva-based Cabin Crew Member. Let me show you through a few shots.
My name is Sylvain Poisson (like a fish indeed). Originally, I called Normandy in France home. But since January of this year, I have been a Geneva-based Cabin Crew Member for SWISS. I used to work as a PR manager in Paris for 15 years, but then traded my laptop and desk for a position above the clouds. I considered becoming a Cabin Crew Member 18 years ago, but life had taken a different turn. Finally, as a travel and photo addict who cannot stand sitting behind a desk anymore, I decided to turn my dream into reality and decided to become a Cabin Crew Member at the age of 42. As you can see, everything can happen. I’m pleased to say that I am more than happy and proud, and consider this second professional adventure a privilege.
In Geneva, we focus on short-haul flights, flying on CS100 and CS300 aircraft to Europe and North Africa – from North to South and West to East. However, we also fly to NYC with an Airbus A330. In its summer timetable, SWISS added several European routes to its route network: Mykonos, Alicante, Brindisi, Larnaca Faro and Ibiza. On board, we offer the award-winning SWISS Saveurs menu in SWISS Business and SWISS Economy. Our fresh food is prepared every morning by the famous and high-end department store Globus and served that same day. So from Geneva, you can either choose a destination for farniente, family leisure, sightseeing, business or party. Not bad right?
